Surfers rescued 50km from land after boat capsized

After an "exciting" surfing trip to Lady Elliot Island, Noosa surfer Clark Plasier and his six mates found themselves clinging to a makeshift raft when their boat capsized 50km from land. While their spirits were lifted when a LifeFlight chopper dropped off a liferaft, they had to wait for hours in the dark for a rescue boat to arrive from Burnett Heads.
