NEW YORK (PIX11) - Sunny skies will mark the St. Patrick's Day holiday and provide the perfect backdrop for the New York City Half Marathon, with temperatures in the mid-40s and 50s throughout the week.

Sunday will be unseasonably warm again with strong winds pushing through. There will be plenty of sun, making it a great day for the holiday, but it will begin to drop in the evening hours.

Similar but cooler conditions can be expected throughout the week as temperatures return to seasonable. However, come the end of this next week, mixed precipitation is possible as temperatures drop near freezing.
