NEW YORK (PIX11) --- The mild temperatures continue on Friday and the sunshine is expected through the weekend.
Friday's high will be 70 degrees but clouds will move in late on Friday night. The evening will still be nice with the temperatures trailing down through the 60s. An approaching storm will pass to the north bringing in a stray shower into the overnight hours.
Temperatures will eventually bottom out in the lower 50s.
Friday should be mainly dry with a mix of sun and clouds. The risk of a shower cannot ruled out as the weak system moves toward New England. Due to the cloud cover and rain threat, temperatures are expected to back down into the mid-60s.
A little bubble of high pressure develops over the region on Saturday. That should be good enough to bring back the sunshine for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Temperatures will still be above where they should be for this of the year, near 60 degrees.
Another disturbance moves on Sunday bringing back the threat of showers into the forecast. A southerly wind will warm temperatures up into the lower 60s.
Much cooler air then moves in for next week. Highs on Monday will be around 50 degrees. While Tuesday will be the start of spring, temperatures will only top out in the mid-40s.
