Ruturaj Gaikwad
to become the fastest Indian ever to 1000 IPL runs.
Sudharsan got the the feat in the clash against CSK during Titans' home game at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Sudarshan got the the 1000-run mark in his 25th IPL game.
While the great Sachin took 31 innings to get to the 1000-run mark, Gaikwad earlier went on to equal his record.
Surpassing both Sachin and Gaikwad, Sudharsan is now the fastest Indian to the landmark.
Tilak Varma
is fourth on the list with 1000 runs in 33 IPL outings.
In the clash aganst CSK, Sudharsan also went on to score his first-ever IPL ton -- firing a dazzling 51-ball 103.
Sudharsan matched his skipper
Shubman Gill
stroke for stroke as the two openers notched destructive centuries to propel Titans to 231 for three.
Gill (104 off 55 deliveries) and Sudarshan put up a six-hitting exhibition as they notched up a 210-run stand, the highest partnership for any wicket in the IPL this season.
The two also equalled Quinton de kock and KL Rahul's highest-ever IPL opening partnership of 210.
While Gill's remarkable innings was punctuated by nine fours and six maximums, Sudharsan's maiden IPL hundred was peppered with five boundaries and seven sixes.
