NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) -- StreetEasy revealed on Tuesday the top neighborhoods in New York City for those looking to buy a home.
StreetEasy's data covers from November 2023 to January 204 and is defined by looking at the greatest increases in days on the market compared to last year, price cuts, and the largest gaps between sale prices and initial asking prices.
The top neighborhoods for buyers are split into two categories, neighborhoods with median asking prices over $1 million and neighborhoods with median asking prices under $1 million, according to StreetEasy.
StreetEasy's top neighborhoods with median asking prices over $1 million are:
- Greenwich Village, Manhattan
- East Village, Manhattan
- Upper East Side, Manhattan
- DUMBO, Brooklyn
- Bushwick, Brooklyn
StreetEasy's top neighborhoods with median asking prices under $1 million are:
- Brighton Beach, Brooklyn
- Bay Ridge, Brooklyn
- Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn
- Flushing, Queens
