NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – Saint Patrick’s Day approaches, and with it massive traffic jams around the parade set for Saturday on Fifth Avenue.
The parade kicks off around 11:00 a.m. on Fifth Avenue and 44th Street and will make its way up to 79th Street by around 4:30 p.m.
In addition to bands, Irish dancing and colorful garb, the parade also promises a slew of street closures throughout Manhattan:

- Fifth Avenue between 83rd Street and 43rd Street
Set-up:
- Vanderbilt Avenue between 43rd Street and 46th Street
- 43rd, 44th, 45th & 46th Streets between Vanderbilt Avenue and Sixth Avenue
- 47th & 48th Streets between Park Avenue and Sixth Avenue
Dispersal:
- Fifth Avenue between 86th Street and 79th Street
- 79th Street between Park Avenue and Fifth Avenue
- 80th, 81st, 82nd & 83rd Streets between Lexington Avenue and Fifth Avenue
- 84th Street between Madison Avenue and Fifth Avenue

- 49th & 50th Streets between Madison Avenue and Rockefeller Plaza
- 50th Street between Madison Avenue and Rockefeller Plaza
- 51st, 53rd & 58th Streets between Madison Avenue and Sixth Avenue
