Stop & Shop issues NJ recall for potentially undercooked chicken

NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – Stop & Shop issued a recall for several deli-prepared chicken products sold after Feb. 2, warning the chicken could be undercooked. 

Shoppers who purchased variations of the grocery store’s deli-prepared breaded chicken chunks – plain or with buffalo, barbecue, sweet chili or honey mustard sauce – should throw out the chicken or return it for a refund, a representative of the grocery store said Tuesday. 

The meats sold between Feb. 2 and Monday were possibly undercooked before they were sold at the following 19 New Jersey Stop & Shop locations:

  • 25 Kinnelon Rd., Butler, NJ
  • 625 Paterson Avenue, Carlstadt, NJ
  • 160 Kingsland Road, Clifton, NJ
  • 1189 Broad Street, Clifton, NJ
  • 400 Demarest Ave., Closter, NJ
  • 20 Washington Avenue, Dumont, NJ
  • 600 Kinderkamack Road, Emerson, NJ
  • 816 Franklin Avenue, Franklin Lakes, NJ
  • 380 W. Pleasantview Avenue, Hackensack, NJ
  • 425 Lewandowski Street, Lyndhurst, NJ
  • 500 State Route 23, Pompton Plains, NJ
  • 175 Franklin Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ
  • 130 Skyline Drive, Ringwood, NJ
  • 5 Town Center Drive, Sparta, NJ
  • 665 American Legion Drive, Teaneck, NJ
  • 34 West Railroad Avenue, Tenafly, NJ
  • 4 Union Avenue, Wanaque, NJ
  • 1220 Hamburg Turnpike, Wayne, NJ
  • 327 Franklin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ

A number of other products were recalled at Stop & Shop locations over the last week, including Fratelli Beretta Antipasto and some Dole salads.
