Starbucks drops new drinks featuring lavender and a limited-time martini

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Coffee giant Starbucks has dropped its new spring menu featuring two new drinks, the company announced Thursday. 

The Seattle-founded coffee company is debuting two drinks with lavender for the first time. 

Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha 

“The new Iced Lavender Cream Oatmilk Matcha features Starbucks' smooth and creamy matcha and oat milk,” the company said in a statement. “[The new drink is] served over ice, and topped with lavender cream cold foam, which creates sweet and subtle floral notes. Includes dairy.”

Iced Lavender Oatmilk Latte

This new drink combines blonde espresso with creamy oat milk and subtle floral notes. The drink can also be served hot, the company said. 

For a limited time in New York, Starbucks is also offering Starbucks Reserve malt and affogato beverages and three new avocado toast varieties.

Limited-time drinks: 

  • Caramel Mocha Drizzle Affogato
  • Whiskey Barrel-Aged Malt
  • Roastery Affogato Flight
  • Orange Spice Espresso Martini (Spirit-Free)

The new avocado toast varieties include: 

  • Avocado Toast with Pancetta & Egg
  • Avocado Toast with Pickled Red Onions
  • Avocado Toast with Cherry Tomatoes

“We have an abundance of lavender farms in Washington state; it’s a really beautiful floral and it smells amazing,” Patrick Penny, a lead beverage developer said. “Partners have been asking us to introduce lavender, and it’s a concept we’ve been working on for some time now.”

Some items contain dairy. Please check with the barista for dietary restrictions.
