has entered into a deal with
Sony Pictures
Television (SPT), a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), to introduce an additional subscription plan for its Indian audience. Sony Pictures - Stream will provide SPE’s films and series on Prime Video Channels to its subscribers at an introductory annual subscription rate of Rs. 399.
"We’re thrilled to introduce Sony Pictures - Stream, a new Prime Video Channel designed specifically for our Indian customers.
"This partnership enables Sony Pictures Entertainment to offer their extensive and popular library in India at a single location, reaching customers across the country through Prime Video Channels,” told Vivek Srivastava, the head of Prime Video Channels in India, to news agency PTI.
Sonika Bhasin, vice president of South Asia for Sony Pictures Television, said that the collaboration with Prime Video allows Indian viewers to access Sony Pictures Entertainment's library of award-winning movies and critically acclaimed TV series.
