. The couple had a
registered wedding
on June 23 in the presence of their family and close friends. The registered wedding took place at Sonakshi's house in Bandra. Post the wedding, the duo is set to through a celebration party at Bastian in Mumbai.

The actress penned a note and revealed that she and Zaheer had fallen in love on this very day, seven years ago and started their relationship. Hence, they decided to tie the knot on this date. She penned a heartwarming note which said, "On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each others eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife.

Sonakshi and Zaheer's wedding festivities began with a dinner where both the families gathered at the groom's house. Sonakshi's parents - Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha were seen at Zaheer's house where both the families also resolved their differences. Post this, Zaheer was seen posing for the paps with Shatrughan Sinha and took his blessings.
Post this, they had a mehendi function at Sonakshi's house. The bride was seen in a simple, red ethnic wear at the occasion and Zaheer was spotted in a white kurta with red print. He was also seen exiting the venue post the function.
The couple had admitted in a voice note along with the wedding invite which went viral, that they have been in a relationship for 7 years. As per reports, they were also living in together for a year, before they decided to tie the knot. The duo have shared screen space together in 'Double XL'.
