Small earthquake rocks Nicholville, NY: USGS

NEW YORK (PIX11) – A small, 2.2-magnitude earthquake shook New York near the Canadian border Sunday morning, according to the USGS. 

The earthquake struck just before 3 a.m. in Nicholville, just west of St. Regis Falls, according to the USGS.

Only a handful of people reported feeling the quake, saying there was light shaking, according to the USGS.

Last week, a small earthquake was recorded near Paramus, New Jersey. The 2.4-magnitude earthquake struck around 1 p.m., according to the USGS.
