NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Hundreds of Slack users have reported issues with the service's app and website on Wednesday morning.
According to the website Slack Status, the company is investigating reports of user issues with connecting and loading Slack, sending and receiving messages and loading threads.
"We're still working to restore functionality to affected Slack features but have also discovered some workflows may also be experiencing issues," read a statement on Slack's status website. "We appreciate your patience as we sort this out and will be back with another update soon."

Reports of issues with the service began spiking on Down Detector just after 10:40 a.m. on Wednesday. Among the reports 60% said they had issues with the Slack app while 26% said they had issues with server connection.
A possible cause for the connectivity issues was not immediately made clear. A spokesperson for Slack shared the following statement with PIX11.
"Our teams are aware and are investigating the issue. For the latest updates, please keep an eye on status.slack.com."
