Christine Brown
opened up about her intimate life with
Kody Brown
— or lack thereof — during their relationship.
The Sister Wives star, 51, is now admitting that her physical relationship with the TLC patriarch had deteriorated in the months preceding their split.
"It was like five times in a year," she said of se* with her ex to
Juicy Scoop
podcast host Heather McDonald.
"There are two kinds of s*x: s*x and intimacy." What we lacked was intimacy. For years, the intimacy had vanished."
In fact, she claimed
Kody
declared the end of their physical relationship: "He's like, 'We're not going to have an intimate marriage anymore.'" We're not going to have intimate relations.'"
Christine
began "boxing up his stuff" and informed her then-husband that he had no place in her bed soon after his proclamation.
Christine, 51, was the first of the sister wives to leave Kody's plural marriage.
Kody announced his divorce from second wife
Janelle Brown
, 54, a year later in December 2022. A month later, in January, the end of his relationship with Meri Brown, 52, was confirmed after the pair's relationship had been platonic for years.
Robyn Brown
, 45, is his sole surviving wife.
Christine made her relationship with
David
Woolley public on Valentine's Day 2023, and the couple married in October in front of friends and family, including Janelle.
Christine has been candid about her extraordinary bond with David, revealing that she knew he was the one after their first date.
"The date went great," she told PEOPLE in October. "And I canceled the date I had planned for that night with another guy." I knew we had something because we just clicked so well. Then, on our second date, I realized we had something really special."
Christine shared why David felt like "home" ahead of their wedding at the Red Cliffs Lodge in Moab, Utah, now that the two have finally found their happily ever after.
"I feel like wherever we are together, we just create this amazing unity together," she said. "We're just a solid unit, and what happens around us doesn't even matter." Being married together only strengthens our bond."
"I just knew Christine was 'the one,'" David continued. "It just feels so right."
