NEW DELHI: India's batting star Shubman Gill’s plans for the
Duleep Trophy
were thwarted in dramatic fashion. Despite his strong performance, Gill found himself undone by a brilliant delivery from pacer Navdeep Saini during the Duleep Trophy match between India A and India B at the
M. Chinnaswamy Stadium
in Bengaluru.
Having already struck three boundaries and reached a score of 25, Gill seemed to be in great form.
However, Saini had different ideas.
Saini delivered a stunning ball that left Gill's stumps in disarray.
Misjudging the widish delivery, Gill decided to leave the ball, assuming it posed no threat. To his shock, the ball deviated sharply, dismantling his stumps and leaving him stunned at the crease.
Saini, on the other hand, erupted in celebration, having successfully dismissed the star batter.
