Shreyas Iyer
, captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), has joined the team's training camp ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season despite earlier concerns about his participation due to back issues.
KKR shared photos of the skipper's arrival in the city on Saturday.
The 29-year-old missed the previous season due to a back surgery in April last year. Although he returned to action in September, he has been battling discomfort in his back.

Iyer played in the opening two Tests against England but had to withdraw from the Indian squad for the last three matches due to back stiffness.
He also skipped Mumbai's Ranji Trophy quarterfinal but returned for the semifinal and final matches.
Unfortunately, he was unable to continue playing in the final against Vidarbha due to back trouble.
Despite these challenges, Iyer is gearing up for the 2024 IPL campaign, with KKR set to kick off against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Eden Gardens on March 23.
