NEW DELHI: Former Pakistani captain

Shoaib Malik

said on Saturday that, following his divorce with

Sania Mirza

, he wed prominent actor

Sana Javed

in Karachi.
The cricket player, who had a son with Indian tennis player Sania, shared a photo of himself and his new spouse on social media with the caption, "And We created you in pairs."

Sania is the mother of their five-year-old boy, Izaan.

A family source told PTI that "it was a 'khula'", which refers to the right of a Muslim woman to unilaterally divorce her husband.
This is Shoaib's third marriage.
Since 2022, there have been persistent rumors that Shoaib and Sania's conflicts caused them to split up, and in the past few years, they have hardly been spotted together.
Malik also unfollowed the Indian celebrity on Instagram a few days ago.
In April 2010, Shoaib and Sania, who had previously resided in Dubai, tied the knot in Hyderabad, the Indian player's hometown.

One of the best tennis players in India, Sania, declared her retirement last year.
Throughout the course of her 20-year career, Sania won 43 WTA doubles titles and one singles trophy, making her regarded as a trailblazer for female athletes.
