Sania Mirza's family also confirmed that the Indian tennis icon and Malik have separated, a day after the Pakistani cricketer announced his marriage.
Following the news of Malik's marriage, an old social media post of the former cricketer praising his third wife Sana has gone viral. In the social media post in 2022, Malik called Sana "kind and courteous".
"I have known Sana Javed for quite sometime now & have had the opportunity to work with her multiple times, from my personal experience I can only say that she has always been kind & courteous towards me & the people around us...," Malik's 2022 post read.
Shoaib and Sania had got married in the Indian player's hometown Hyderabad in April 2010 and they used to live in Dubai.
Malik also found himself in another trouble after he bowled three no-balls in an over during a Bangladesh Premier League match against Khulna Tigers on January 22.
Malik refuted allegations of match-fixing in the Bangladesh Premier League and unsubstantiated claims that his contract with Fortune Barishal was terminated.
