Shehzad Sheikh

, who was last seen in the show Sindoor Ki Keemat, will now be a part of the upcoming show

Mehndi Wala Ghar

which is set to go on air by the end of January. The actor finds the role relatable and says, "I feel that the character that I am playing in the show is very relatable. He is an NRI who comes to India and starts living with his family.

So from living in a nuclear setup to living in a joint family, life changes for him. There is a lot more to the story which is a very fresh take and something we don't see on TV currently. I relate to the role because I used to live in

Saudi Arabia

and I came to India when I was 19 years old to study and then pursue a career."
Along with Shehzad,

Shruthi Anand

will also be a part of the show and the entire cast is currently shooting in Ujjain. Talking about it, he says, "We are in Ujjain and I am enjoying my time here. It is cold and beautiful. I love shooting outdoors for a show because we all get to connect with the entire cast. When we a continously shoot for a TV shows on a set, it can get monotonous. Such outdoor shoots bring new energy."

Mohammedsaud Mansuri: We have shot at real locations for the show Shrimad Ramayan

Shehzad, who has acted in shows like Bepannah and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, says it is indeed a small world. He portrayed the role of Naksh in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai where actor

Karan Mehra

played his father, and now the two have reunited in Mehndi Wala Ghar. He says, "It is ironic that Karan Mehra was playing my father in the show earlier and now in this new show, he will play father to Shruthi Anand. But I am glad that I am working with him again."
