took to social media to express his heartfelt sentiments after the news broke that
Kevin Patrick
had been released from his WWE contract earlier today.
Kevin Patrick, 38, had been a part of the WWE for nearly three years. Starting as a backstage interviewer, he later transitioned to the commentary desk on
SmackDown
, filling the void left by the departure of long-time commentator
Jimmy Smith
.
However, Patrick was recently removed from the SmackDown brand, and today's announcement confirmed his release from the company.
Sheamus, who has been absent from in-ring action for the past few months, shared a
farewell message
on Twitter, acknowledging Kevin Patrick's professionalism and expressing pride in working with him. The Celtic Warrior, a fellow Irishman, extended best wishes for Patrick's future endeavours:
