Mendonsa took the stage at a concert in
Koregaon Park
. They were joined by
Siddharth
and
Shivam Mahadevan
,
Alyssa Mendonsa
,
Shrinidhi Ghatate
and Abhay Sharma on stage, turning the concert into a melodious
jugalbandi
.
Apart from professing his love for the city, Shankar also shared an interesting anecdote about the title track of Kal Ho Naa Ho.
“The tune came to Loy when he, Ehsaan and I were at a popular bakery in Pune. We immediately went back to our hotel room and started working on the track,” he said.
Shankar also sang songs like Woh Ladki Hai Kahan, Pretty Woman and Mann Udhaan Varyache, while Shivam and Shrinidhi joined him on some of the tracks. Siddharth’s Zinda rendition got the crowd cheering while Shrinidhi and
Alyssa
mesmerised them with Bol Na Halke Halke and Khwabon Ke Parindey, respectively.
