'I don’t want to fight small battles but...'

The third season of Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives brought new faces into the spotlight, including

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni

,

Shalini Passi

and Kalyani Saha. One memorable moment from the show was when

Riddhima

spilled wine on Shalini and told her to 'move on,' a scene that caught widespread attention. In a recent interview, Shalini reflected on the incident and shared her thoughts on the current OTT culture.
Describing her reaction to the wine spill, Shalini told India Today, "It’s not fun to sit on the beach with wine spilt all over you, especially with the wind blowing. I thought that if I got up and walked off, everyone—cast and production team included—would have to wait an hour for me to return. We were already in a different place, in Mauritius. My thoughts were for the camera team, and for the sound people. I was thinking about everyone else."
Shalini reflected on her emotional side, explaining that although she enjoys being the clown and having fun, over time she has come to realize that this behavior stems from a more serious and secure place. She emphasized that her main goal is not to throw tantrums or make others feel bad, but to be effective in her life. Her higher purpose, she said, is not to engage in small battles but to focus on winning the bigger war.

On the subject of OTT platforms, Shalini criticized the culture, stating, "It’s very surprising. OTT culture is about attacking each other; it’s women against women. Everything is about clashing, and no one tries to bring them together because, for TRPs, they won’t. So, they told me that it was refreshing to see me, and I’m glad about that."
She further expressed that if someone chooses to invest their time and energy in her, it is ultimately their loss. Believing that life is precious, she stated that it’s crucial not to hurt others. Her personal policy is to refrain from causing harm, although she admitted that she does get upset when something is wrong and will correct it. However, she made it clear that she does not seek to bring anyone down or make them feel small, as that is a tactic she does not feel the need to use.

Shalini's debut on the show also sparked curiosity about her personal life. A prominent name in India’s business circles, Shalini is married to

Sanjay Passi

, chairman of Pasco Group, a leading name in Tata Motors-certified dealerships in North India. Sanjay, who was awarded the Aaykar Ratna Award in 1999 for being the highest taxpayer in the country, made a few appearances on the show, where their mutual affection was clear. They have a son,

Robin Passi

, and their love story continues to intrigue fans.
