MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Shakira surprised fans in New York City Tuesday night with a pop-up concert in Times Square.
Shakira performed on the TXS stage at 7:15 p.m. for thousands of adoring fans. The international artist recently released “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran,” her first new album in seven years.
The English translation of the album is "Women No Longer Cry," and the record explores Shakira's public breakup, tax troubles, and her return to the spotlight. The album also features collaborations with bands that exemplify Mexican musical styles.
Other stars like Jung Kook of BTS and Post Malone also performed at the new Times Square venue back in 2023.
