Several people trapped in Empire State Building elevator on 48th floor: NYPD

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- About half a dozen people were trapped inside an elevator in the Empire State Building on Thursday, according to authorities.
The elevator was stuck around the 48th floor with six to seven people inside, according to the NYPD. The elevator got stuck around 6:11 p.m., and everyone was able to escape by 6:58 p.m.
No one inside was injured, and officials did not give a reason for the elevator getting stuck.
