NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – A New Jersey middle schooler hit a sensational buzzer-beater shot to send her team to the league championship, which also landed her on ESPN's "SportsCenter."

The spectacular moment happened during a seventh and eighth grade girls basketball game between Haddonfield and Washington Township on Sunday, according to the Haddonfield Youth Basketball Association.

With the game tied 37-37 in overtime, Haddonfield stole the ball from Washington Township with under five seconds to play. Haddonfield’s Sara Guveiyan took a few dribbles, heaved up a shot from behind half-court, and hit nothing but net to win the game 40-37. The crowd erupted into cheers as the Haddonfield players celebrated the game-winning shot.

Guveiyan’s shot wound up as the No. 7 highlight on the “SportsCenter Top 10.”

Haddonfield will play in the league championship game next weekend.
