See it: Dog befriends squirrel in Brooklyn's Prospect Park

PROSPECT PARK, Brooklyn (PIX11) – A golden retriever was caught on camera befriending a squirrel in Prospect Park.

The dog, named Bowie, was seen chasing after the small animal while keeping his distance. The squirrel, unperturbed by Bowie's playfulness, seemingly joins in on the fun and chases after the dog.

"You think dogs and squirrels can't be friends? Think again!" Bowie's owner, @nycgolden, posted on TikTok. "Bowie is breaking the stereotype that the dogs hate squirrels."

"Bowie the Squirrel Whisperer," one commenter said.
