ASTORIA, Queens (PIX11) -- The search continues for a suspect accused of assaulting a 7-year-old boy inside a subway station on Feb. 23.
The incident happened around 12:40 p.m. in the 21st Street-Queensbridge subway station.
The child and his mother were waiting on the northbound F train platform when an unidentified individual approached them, police say.
The suspect allegedly pushed the child to the ground. As the mother confronted the individual, the child was pushed again in the face, police say.
The suspect allegedly brandished a knife at the two before fleeing the station. The NYPD released the following surveillance video of the suspect.
The suspect was last seen boarding a Q100 MTA bus, police say.
EMS treated the child for minor pain in his leg.
