School teacher booked for employing and assaulting 11-year-old girl

THANE: The

Kapurbawdi police

on Wednesday

booked

a 33-year-old

female teacher

from Kolshet area allegedly for employing a househelp aged-11, and physically assaulting her.
The police said that the accused resides at a residential complex in the Kolshet area and has a baby of around 3-4 years.
According to the police, the accused brought the victim from Delhi through her acquaintance for household and other works.

She was beaten up and made to starve the complaint by the victim to the police stated.
The victim was subjected to physical assault with a pipe in the house alleging that she is not taking good care of her child in the house. The victim was badly injured due to repeated beatings. The accused also prevented her from going out of the house, the complaint alleged. An advocate, Meena Ta brought the girl to the police station and helped her register a case with the Kapurbawdi police station.
An offence is registered under various sections including 341,374,324,323 of the IPC and also the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act by the victim. and the police are probing into the crime.
