Supreme Court on Monday agreed to examine a plea seeking early hearing on the Bhojshala temple-Kamal Maula mosque complex controversy.
The matter is pending in the apex court which had on April 1 allowed
Archaeological Survey of India
(ASI) to carry on with a survey of the complex in
Dhar
district of Madhya Pradesh but directed that no action would be taken on the basis of the survey report without its permission.
The court had also directed
ASI
not to carry out any excavation on the premises which could alter the character of the structure.
