With worldwide gross of nearly Rs 850 crore, the film has also gone on to become the most successful A rated film in India. Vanga recently opened up on various topics about the film which people found to be controversial from Ranvijay asking

to lick his boots to Ranvijay making a comment about Gitanjali’s pelvis.

He has now opened up about a moment in the film where Ranvijay ( Ranbir)’s character forbades Gitanjali to marry again, in case of his death.

Talking about the scene said, “In relationships, most of the time, you’re done. Multiple partners could be a habit. Once you’re with one person, the share of love with that one person, you are done for life. That could be the exchange between Geetanjali and Ranvijay. And knowing the psyche of Geetanjali, there are so many things in a relationship that are unsaid, so he must have felt that she can’t make it with anybody else, so she’d better remain single.”

Vanga suggested that Geetanjali's parents might recommend her to consider remarriage in case of his demise. “He doesn’t want his kids to see Geetanjali with another father. It has nothing to do with a generalised feeling, it’s purely personal. The pseudo-feminists looked at it and said, ‘Oh, so he can sleep with another woman, but she can’t marry again’. I found it very funny.” he added.
