Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Fold6, set to debut on July 10 in Paris, sees its pricing leaked ahead of the official launch.

Samsung is preparing to unveil its latest foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold6. While the official launch date has not been confirmed, reports suggest that the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold5 will debut in Paris on July 10. As anticipation builds, the pricing for the Galaxy Z Fold6 has been leaked.The Galaxy Z Fold6 is expected to feature an improved crease and several design enhancements. These changes aim to solidify Samsung's position in the foldable smartphone market. However, Samsung is no longer the sole player in this segment. Vivo recently made waves with its Fold X3, challenging Samsung’s dominance in India’s foldable phone market.
All eyes are now on the Galaxy Z Fold6, the original giant in the foldable smartphone category, to see if it can maintain its leading position amidst growing competition.
Pricing Details Revealed
According to Smartprix, the pricing for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 in the US has been leaked. The phone will be available in three storage options: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Unfortunately, all these variants will be more expensive than last year’s model.

The foldable will come in three colors: Navy, Silver Shadow, and Pink. Weighing 239 grams, it is lighter than its predecessor, which weighed 253 grams. The price increase of $100 across all variants is expected to be reflected globally, including in markets like India where foldables are among the priciest smartphones.
Despite the price hike, Samsung is expected to provide attractive introductory offers. Customers who pre-book the Galaxy Z Fold6 can benefit from free storage upgrades and the option to bundle accessories at discounted rates. Details about these pre-booking offers will likely be available online soon.
In July 2023, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold5 at $1,800 for the 256GB base model. Given the average conversion rate, this should have cost around Rs. 1,47,600 in India, but it was priced at Rs. 1,54,999, a five percent premium. With the Galaxy Z Fold6’s leaked price of $1,900, it translates to approximately Rs. 1,58,777.30. Factoring in similar pricing strategies, the Galaxy Z Fold6 could be priced around Rs. 1,66,715.85, potentially rounded off to Rs. 1,69,999 or positioned at Rs. 1,74,999.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 is shaping up to be a significant release for the company, featuring advanced AI capabilities and a lighter design. However, the increased pricing might be a point of contention for potential buyers.
