The countdown has begun. In just a few hours, Samsung will launch its Unpacked 2024 event and unveil the new generation of Galaxy S series – The Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup. Samsung will also introduce its Galaxy AI, which will be integrated with the new devices. While the rest of the details are still under wraps, Samsung has already announced the pre-order benefits for the customers who are interested in the new generation Samsung devices.

Samsung Galaxy S24 series pre-order benefits

Samsung's official website now allows eager buyers to pre-reserve the "Next Galaxy VIP Pass" for Rs 1,999. This exclusive pass unlocks benefits worth Rs 5,000, including first dibs on reserving the next Galaxy phone before its official launch. Pre-reserve holders also enjoy early delivery and the best exchange value for their old phones when traded in toward the new Galaxy purchase.

Additionally, pre-reserve users will also have the opportunity to acquire the latest Galaxy S24 smartphone in special colours, exclusively available on Samsung's official website. In addition to this, the voucher offers a 5 per cent discount for the purchase of two or more eligible Samsung products together from the website.

Samsung S24 series rumoured specifications

While Samsung has remained silent regarding the features of the new Galaxy series, rumours and speculations suggest significant upgrades and enhancements, primarily focused on AI. The company has already developed its own large language model, Gauss AI. Now reports indicate that the teased "Galaxy AI" is the company's integration of AI into the latest S24 series. With AI integration, the new smartphones may feature AI enhancements such as AI wallpapers, real-time translation, photo enhancement, and AI zoom. The keyboard may also include voice tones and note-taking with AI.

Regarding the variants, the Galaxy S24 series is speculated to include three models: the S24, the S24+, and the S24 Ultra. They will offer similar storage options to the S23 series but different processors, with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in markets like the US, Canada, and China, and Samsung's own Exynos 2400 chipset possibly in India. The series is also said to have similar designs, although the Ultra model may feature a flatter screen and a titanium body.

All models will sport a 120Hz display and a 50 mega-pixel main camera, while the Ultra is rumoured to boast a 200mega-pixel lens, a 10x quad telephoto, and 100x Space Zoom. It may also come with the S Pen.

Samsung is also reported offering 7 years of software and OS updates for the Galaxy S24 series. This implies that the smartphones could receive updates until Android 21. Since 2020, Samsung has been providing four years of OS upgrades and five years of security updates for its premium and some mid-range phones.

Samsung S24 series rumoured price

As for the pricing, rumours suggest that Samsung might be planning to increase the prices of its new flagship series by Rs 10,000. Which means, the base model of the Samsung Galaxy S24+ with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage could cost between Rs 1,04,999 and Rs 1,05,999. This is a significant jump of more than Rs 10,000 from the previous year’s Samsung Galaxy S23+, which was priced at Rs 94,999.

Similarly, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, the most expensive of the three models, could have a price of Rs 1,34,999 or Rs 1,35,999 for the same configuration. The S23 Ultra, in contrast, was sold for Rs 1,24,999.

However, these prices are not confirmed, and we should wait for a few more days until the official announcement.
