Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy S24 series globally. Ahead of the big launch, it is being speculated that the Galaxy S24 will cost the same as the previous Galaxy S23.

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S24 lineup is rumoured to maintain prices akin to its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 series, according to the latest report from a Korean news source. Alongside this pricing revelation, there's fresh evidence suggesting the inclusion of an emergency satellite texting feature in the S24 series.

The leaked information, seemingly confirming the emergency texting capability, arrives after numerous speculations. A leaked screenshot explicitly indicates support for emergency satellite texting on an unnamed Galaxy S24 model, aligning Samsung with the likes of the latest iPhones and select Huawei devices.

Reports indicate that all models within the Galaxy S24 range will integrate this new emergency feature, irrespective of the chipset used. While Samsung's Galaxy S24 series complies with the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) standards for this feature, its availability across global markets from the initial launch remains uncertain.

Regarding pricing strategies, Samsung reportedly intends to sustain pricing levels similar to last year's models. The strategy is driven by the belief that maintaining stable prices while offering enhanced features can drive sales in a recovering market. By doing so, Samsung aims to remain competitive by providing more features at an equal or even lower price than its rivals.

The company sets a target of achieving a 10 per cent increase in sales compared to the previous year, aiming to ship a total of 33 million units. To uphold consistent pricing, Samsung plans to use the Exynos 2400 chip for its standard and Plus models in certain markets. However, it's anticipated that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will uniformly feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset across all markets.

This move underscores Samsung's strategy to balance competitive pricing, enhanced features, and increased sales volume. As the market eagerly anticipates the Galaxy S24 series, Samsung's efforts to maintain pricing stability while incorporating advanced functionalities reflect its ambitious sales targets and competitive positioning in the smartphone industry.
