TM Roh confirms Galaxy AI for Galaxy Watch
In a recent post by Samsung's mobile president, TM Roh, the launch of the Galaxy S24 series is celebrated as the ushering in of the "era of mobile AI." Roh delves into the intricacies of how Galaxy AI was crafted and hints at forthcoming features, stating that Samsung has numerous ideas and concepts waiting to be brought to life.
The commitment is evident as Samsung vows to continually enhance and grow the mobile AI experience.
In the same post, Roh clarified Samsung’s intentions to integrate AI features into devices like the Galaxy Watch. Roh tantalizingly suggests that "select Galaxy wearables'' will soon benefit from AI capabilities, focusing on offering “intelligent health experiences”, among others.
The entire move coincides with Samsung’s announcement at the Unpacked about bringing AI to health and fitness features and also the Galaxy Ring which is expected to arrive sometime later this year.
The company has also highlighted its commitment to enriching and expanding the Galaxy AI ecosystem through collaborations with industry-leading AI partners.
Specifics of these AI features for wearables are unclear
Roh has only clarified the intentions behind introducing the AI feature for Galaxy wearables. It is not clear what features the watch will get as a part of Galaxy AI features. We are also not sure whether there will be some exclusive features for upcoming Galaxy Ring or not. However, Roh has confirmed that the new AI features could get delivered to Galaxy wearables via software update.
