'Salaar' has put the box office on fire: Chiranjeevi praises Prabhas and team

Prabhas' much-anticipated film of 2023, 'Salaar: Part One- Ceasefire' has exceeded the first-day collections of 'Animal', 'Jawan', and 'Pathaan' in India. Now, legendary actor Chiranjeevi praised Prabhas and the team behind 'Salaar' for the box office success.

CHIRANJEEVI CONGRATULATES PRABHAS AND 'SALAAR' TEAM

On December 23, Chiranjeevi gave a shoutout to Prabhas and 'Salaar's team. He shared a note on his official X handle and wrote, "Heartiest Congratulations my dear ‘Deva’ Rebel Star Prabhas. Salaar: Part One – Ceasefire has put the box office on fire (fire emojis). Kudos to director Prashanth Neel on this remarkable achievement. You truly excel at world building (sic)."

Chiranjeevi also praised Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu. He continued, "My love to the Superb ‘Varadaraja Mannar’ @PrithviOfficial, ‘Adya’ @shrutihaasan and ‘Kartha’ @IamJagguBhai. 'SALAAR' BOX OFFICE COLLECTION

Prashanth Neel-directorial 'Salaar' witnessed a historic opening at the box office. The mass action movie received a lot of positive response from fans. As per early estimates, the film shattered the domestic box office collection by earning Rs 95 crore on the opening day.

The film earned the most in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana regions, where it collected Rs 70 crore. It had an overall occupancy of 88.93 per cent in Telugu areas. It also performed well in Karnataka and Kerala, where it recorded an opening day box office figure of Rs 12 crore and Rs 5 crore, respectively.

MORE ABOUT 'SALAAR'

As reported earlier, 'Salaar' will release in two parts. The first part is titled 'Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire', while the second part is titled 'Shouryaanga Parvam'.

Prabhas plays Deva/Salaar, Prithviraj Sukumaran essays the role of Varadharaja Mannar, Jagapathi Babu is seen as Rajamannar, while Shruti Haasan is Aadya in 'Salaar'.

'Salaar: Part One - Ceasefire' released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. It is competing with Shah Rukh Khan's 'Dunki' at the box office.
