to farmers in the state over the last 1.5 years. This has been towards tackling calamities like drought, hailstorms and flooding. He said the government has set up a task force on the issue of farmer suicides and also provided a bonus of Rs 20,000 for paddy farmers.
He also said that the government had provided a loan waiver of over 4 lakh farmers. However, 6.5 lakh farmers were still to gain the benefit of the farm waiver owing to technical issues. These were being addressed as soon as possible, Shinde said.
