"Stars from Australia and India that went head-to-head in the final of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup dominate the ICC Men's ODI Team of the Year for 2023," the International Cricket Council (ICC) said in an official statement on Tuesday.
In 2023, Rohit's outstanding performance saw him amassing 1255 runs at an average of 52. His exceptional form extended to the ODI World Cup, where he played a pivotal role at the top of the order.
Emerging as Rohit's preferred opening partner in the team, young talent Shubman Gill showcased his prowess by accumulating 1584 runs during the calendar year.
