NEW DELHI: Indian skipper

Rohit Sharma

created history by making his appearance in the second T20I against Afghanistan in Indore on Sunday. He owned the record of becoming the first player to play 150 men's T20Is.
After a 14-month hiatus from the shortest format of international cricket, Rohit made his comeback to the team in the first T20I in Mohali, where he also assumed the role of captain.

The match also saw star batter

Virat Kohli

returning to the T20I fold after a gap of 14 months. He will be playing his first T20 international since November 2022 and missed the opener of the three-match series, which the hosts lead 1-0.
Talking about the toss, Rohit won the coin toss and asked Afghanistan to bat first.
Yashasvi Jaiswal

, who has regained fitness, was included in the team as one of the two changes.

Shubman Gill

and Tilak Varma were omitted from the playing XI.
Ireland's Paul Stirling is second on the list with 134 T20Is followed by compatriot George Dockrell (128 matches) and Pakistan's Shoaib Malik (124 matches).
