Robbers wanted in connection to 3 Manhattan smoke shop robberies: NYPD

NEW YORK (PIX11)-- Police are searching for suspects wanted in connection with a trio of smoke shop robberies in Manhattan.

The first occurred on Feb. 20 around 8:30 p.m. at the Pure Green Smoke Shop on West 72nd Street. Police said six individuals entered the store and demanded an employee open a display case. The suspects reportedly broke the case, stole products, and ran away.

A store employee tells PIX11 News the merchandise was valued between $1,500 and $2,000.

The second robbery occurred on Feb. 22 around 7:40 pm at the Green Organic Market on 9th Avenue.

Police say six individuals forcibly removed marijuana items and fled into the 53rd Street subway station.

One victim was apprehended at the station.

The third incident occurred on March 18 around 9 pm at Zookies on Amsterdam Avenue.

Police say three suspects entered the store and forcibly removed small cannabis bags. They reportedly fled the store but immediately tried to re-enter without success because an employee locked the door.

The suspects fled on foot.
