UPPER WEST SIDE, Manhattan (PIX11) – A person was robbed and then slashed in the face on the Upper West Side in the early hours of Thursday, police said.
The attack happened near 96th Street and Amsterdam Avenue around 1:24 a.m., when the robber slashed the person in the face with an unknown object and took some money, police said.
The victim was rushed to an area hospital while police put one person of interest in custody, according to the NYPD. No arrests had been made by Thursday morning.
