In the midst of

controversy

surrounding

Samantha Ruth Prabhu

's response to allegations from Dr. Cyriac Abby Philips about her

podcast

"Take 20,", the Grammy Award-winning musician

Ricky Kej

has entered the discussion by addressing Samantha in the comment section.
He acknowledged that although the doctor's manner of pointing this out was rude, he wasn't “completely wrong.”
Ricky penned, “Get well soon! You have gone through a lot, and deserve to be well.

About medical advice, it would be best not shared by non-medical professionals especially celebs with influence, More-so since you also endorse processed foods for pets, and sugary unhealthy foods. While we understand that this is done for the money, It is natural that there will be suspicion about everything that you praise.”
Ricky mentioned that discussing treatments that haven't undergone

clinical trials

and peer-reviewed scrutiny is particularly risky. He acknowledged that while the doctor's comments may have been confrontational, they contained some valid points. Ricky emphasized the importance of not giving advice that could jeopardise lives, especially when coming from individuals with significant influence. He stated that it is the responsibility of those advocating such treatments to engage with critics, rather than expecting the critics to reach out first.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu posted a lengthy statement on Instagram following criticism from a doctor known as 'The

Liver Doc

.' He called her 'health illiterate' after she shared a post about using

hydrogen peroxide nebulisation

.
The actor, who was recently diagnosed with Myositis, clarified that she only suggested hydrogen peroxide nebulisation with good intentions. She mentioned it was recommended by a highly qualified doctor.

Responding to The Liver Doc's harsh criticism, Samantha wrote, “It would have been kind and compassionate of him had he not been so proactive with his words. Especially the bit where he suggests I should be thrown in prison. Nevermind! I suppose it goes with the territory of being a celebrity. I posted as someone who needs

medical treatment

and not as a celebrity.”
She further mentioned, "It would have been nice had he politely invited my doctor, whom I have tagged in my post, rather than go after me. I would have loved to have learnt from the debate and discussion between two highly qualified professionals,"
Dr. Philips criticized Samantha for suggesting hydrogen peroxide nebulisation, calling her "health and science illiterate" and warning that the practice "is dangerous for health."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Samantha is gearing up for 'Citadel: Honey Bunny' alongside Varun Dhawan. Directed by Raj & DK, this upcoming web series is an Indian adaptation of the Russo brothers' 'Citadel,' which originally featured Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. Additionally, Samantha has announced 'Bangaram,' a film marking her debut as a producer.
