Retailers offer discounts, giveaways for Leap Day

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Retailers are offering deals on everything from food to experiences in New York City on Leap Day.

The Edge at Hudson Yards is giving away entry tickets for visitors celebrating a birthday on Thursday. The attraction bills itself as the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere.

Insomnia Cookies is offering free six-packs of cookies to anyone born on Feb. 29. Central Park's Wollman Rink has free admission for everyone on Thursday, but skate rentals are not included.

Krispy Kreme is offering 12 doughnuts for $2.29 with the purchase of a regular-priced dozen.

Wendy's is also giving away a Cinnabon pull-apart to each customer until 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
