NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Tie a napkin around your neck and be a guest at New York City Restaurant Week.
Reservations are open to grab a table at one of the many restaurants participating in the annual event. Restaurant Week kicks off Monday, offering foodies the chance to enjoy two-course lunches and three-course dinners ranging in price from $30 to $60. Some eateries will even continue to offer the specials through Sep. 1.
The now New York favorite event began in 1992 as a one-time only event for the Democratic National Convention. Fast forward to 32 years later, and the culinary fest now runs twice a year and includes hundreds of restaurants across the five boroughs.
New restaurants participating this year include:
- NoMad Diner - Midtown, Manhattan
- Sungold - Williamsburg, Brooklyn
- Harta at Grayson Hotel - Midtown, Manhattan
Restaurant week runs Monday through Friday with Sundays optional for participating restaurants.
