's upcoming film, '

Fighter

' is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films in Bollywood. The film stars

Hrithik Roshan

and

Deepika Padukone

in lead roles. While advance bookings of the film are in full swing, its release was recently denied in all

Gulf

countries except UAE.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, 'Fighter' won't be released in most Gulf countries, except the UAE, as it didn't get approval from the GCC Censors.

The censor screening took place on January 10, 2024, and on the 23rd, it was officially announced that the film won't be released in most Gulf countries. This denial is a significant setback for the filmmakers.

The specific reason for the denial is unclear, but it could be something the censors found either very disturbing or objectionable. Notably, Kuwait and Qatar also banned Tiger 3 recently. The denial of clearance for Fighter in the Gulf countries by the GCC Censors may result in a loss of business ranging from 500k to 1 million dollars.

As of now, Fighter has seen reasonable advance bookings for its first day, with approximately 70,000 tickets sold in top national chains at the time of this update. The movie aims to achieve sales of around 1.5-1.75 lakh tickets in national chains like PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis. Initially targeting a figure of around Rs 25 crores, Fighter plans to experience a significant surge on day 2, coinciding with Republic Day. The total four-day weekend collection for Fighter in India is expected to surpass the Rs 100 crores nett mark.

'Fighter,' featuring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, is set to be the first major Bollywood release of 2024. The aerial action film is scheduled to hit theaters near you starting from January 25, 2024.
