Xiaomi
has expanded its
budget smartphone
lineup with the launch of Redmi A3 in the country. The smartphone sports an HD+ display and is powered by a MediaTek chipset. The smartphone houses a glass back design and is backed by a 5000 mAh battery.
Price and availability
The company has launched three variants of Redmi A3 in the country.
The smartphone comes in three variants — 3GB+64GB, 4GB+128GB and 6GB+128GB priced at Rs 7,299, Rs 8,299 and Rs 9,299 respectively. The smartphone comes in three colour options — black, blue and green. The smartphone will be available online on Flipkart and mi.com and offline on mi Home stores in the country. The smartphone will go on sale starting February 23.
Redmi A3 specifications
Redmi A3 features a 6.71-inch HD+ display with 720x1650 pixel resolution. The display offers a 90Hz refresh rate and it is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top.
The budget smartphone is powered by an octa-core Helio G36 chipset paired with up to 6GB of RAM. The smartphone comes in two storage options — 64GB and 128GB. Users can further expand the storage by adding a microSD card.
Redmi A3 runs Android 14 operating system and it comes with dual SIM support. The smartphone sports a dual rear camera which houses an 8MP main sensor and a secondary camera. Front houses a 5MP selfie shooter.
The affordable Redmi smartphone comes equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and it is backed by a 5000 mAh battery with 10W charging support.
