Following the team's late surge to success, RCB fans have been jubilant in the lead-up to the Eliminator, with a viral video showing fans supposedly taking streets in Berlin, Germany while chanting "RCB, RCB..." in a rejoicing manner.
Watch:
RCB's comeback this season will be remembered for their dramatic win against Chennai Super Kings at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. As a result of which, they have won their last six matches in a row.
Having lost 7 of their first 8 games, cricket experts wrote off RCB's chances of qualifying for the
IPL 2024
playoffs, but the team and fans remained hopeful. The turning point came when RCB narrowly lost to table-toppers KKR by just one run, a match that boosted the players' confidence despite the defeat.
RCB's path to their first IPL trophy involves beating Rajasthan Royals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Kolkata Knight Riders in the playoffs. However, they have a challenging history against these opponents in recent IPL playoffs.
RR eliminated RCB in Qualifier 2 of IPL 2022, KKR in the Eliminator of IPL 2021, and SRH in the Eliminator of IPL 2020. In the 2016 season, RCB reached the final but lost to SRH.
