LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh CM

Yogi Adityanath

described Monday’s “Pran Pratishtha” of the

Ram Lalla

idol in Ayodhya as an emotional moment that marked the realisation of a 500-year wait for a temple at the birthplace of Lord Ram that had “successfully awakened the collective consciousness of the nation”.
“Every section of society, including saints, ascetics,

Nihangs

, intellectuals, politicians and tribals, rose above caste, ideology, philosophy and method of worship and sacrificed themselves for the cause of Ram. Today (my) soul is happy... that the temple has been built exactly where it was resolved to be built,” he said, addressing a gathering after the consecration ceremony.
Yogi called the shrine a “national temple” and a matter of national pride, marking a cultural renaissance in India. “The presence of Ram Lalla in Awadhpuri is also a proclamation of Ram Rajya. Ram Rajya symbolises a harmonious society without discrimination and is the basis of our prime minister’s policies, thoughts and plans,” he said.
The CM expressed gratitude to PM Modi for ending the prolonged wait and highlighted the transformative impact on Ayodhya, saying the city would now resonate with “Ram Naam” instead of “gunfire” and “curfews”. With Modi becoming PM in 2014, the CM said, the people had felt “a strong belief in the heart that they will undoubtedly have the opportunity to meet Shri Ramji, as there are highly auspicious omens”.

Yogi thanked various people and organisations involved in the project, including Ram Lalla idol sculptor Arun Yogiraj and

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi

Teerth Kshetra Trust.
