Rajinikanth has started for New Delhi from Chennai for Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on June 9. While speaking to the media, Thalaivar said that Narendra Modi assuming office for the third term as Prime Minister is a 'big achievement'. He said it is a healthy sign of democracy.
Rajinikanth will take part in the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi and his new Cabinet on Sunday. Speaking to the media before leaving for Delhi from Chennai, Rajinikanth said that after Jawaharlal Nehru, it is Narendra Modi who will be taking over as PM for the third term in office and termed it as an 'achievement', as reported by news agency PTI.
As per an ANI report, he later said at the airport, "Narendra Modi will be sworn in as PM consecutively for the third time. This is a very big achievement. My wishes to him. People have also elected a strong opposition in this Parliament election. It will lead to a healthy democracy. I received an invitation for Chandrababu Naidu's swearing-in ceremony as Andhra Pradesh CM. I will update you about going there."
When asked about his expectations over the next five years, Rajinikanth said the governance will be good and that is what he expects.

Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi is scheduled to be sworn in as the leader of a coalition government at the Rashtrapati Bhavan at 7. 15 PM on Sunday. The ceremony will be attended by dignitaries and special invitees from neighbouring countries and the Indian Ocean Region. In light of the event, traffic restrictions and airspace curbs have been implemented in the national capital.
