BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) -- Questions loom in Brooklyn after a third set of human remains was found near between the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridge.
Bone fragments were found Saturday evening near Dock Street just before 7 p.m., according to the NYPD. It comes just two weeks after the first set of skeletal remains was found in the water near Brooklyn Bridge Park, according to the NYPD.
A couple of days later, more human remains were found on the rocks nearby.
"It's very surprising, I'm speechless, I'm shocked. I don't know what to say," one park-goer told PIX11. "Am I safe in this area? There's a lot of questions I'm going to have to look into it."
The second set of remains was discovered by a passerby.
"We just stumbled upon it, it's right up in the rocks," said Huntly Cooper of Brooklyn.
