A pedestrian woman was injured after a car hit her in Pune's Hinjewadi area. The incident that occurred on May 23 has now gone viral. CCTV footage shows a speeding car hitting the woman from behind, causing her to fling in the air and fall a few feet away.

The car then crashed into a shop at Bhujbal Chowk in the Hinjewadi police jurisdiction.

Despite the severity of the incident, no case has been registered by the victim or her relatives. Local police clarified that the woman's family opted not to take legal action as she was not seriously injured.

In a similar incident, earlier on May 19, a 17-year-old was allegedly speeding a Porsche car, and in an intoxicated state, he crashed the car into a bike, killing two software engineers, Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta. The minor and two others who were in the Porsche were taken into police custody.

A person who witnessed the accident, told India Today TV that the luxury vehicle was overspeeding and the teen driver was drunk at the time of the crash. As a result of the impact, one of the two victims, who died on the spot, was thrown 15 feet in the air, the witnesses recalled.

After the Pune Porsche car crash, Mumbai Police got on its toes in order to avert any possibility of such an incident in the millennium city.
