'Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil' actor
Prithviraj Sukumaran
recently revealed the reason behind his choice for a
private marriage
ceremony. Reflecting back to his wedding in April 2011 with journalist Supriya Menon, Prithviraj expressed that opting for a
low-key affair
was a decision driven by a desire to maintain
intimacy
and
personal significance
.
"When asked about marriage advice, I would suggest getting married without informing the public," Prithviraj remarked during a promotional interview for ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’.

He elaborated, emphasizing that while family celebrations are typically seen as joyous occasions, larger public events often detract from the personal essence of the moment. "As the event grows bigger, it starts feeling like someone else's function," he added, reflecting on how a private ceremony allowed him to stay connected to the true essence of his marriage.
Despite later hosting a grand function to celebrate with a wider circle, Prithviraj confessed to having few memories of the extravagant affair. "I honestly have no memory of whatever happened during the grand function," he admitted.
On the professional front, Prithviraj Sukumaran's latest comedy drama, 'Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil', directed by Vipin Das, has garnered widespread acclaim, emerging as a huge hit at the box office. The movie also features Basil Joseph, Anaswara Rajan, and Nikhila Vimal in the lead roles.
